Located near Torquay’s beautiful beach, Star of the Sea Aged Care Residence provides quality aged care for up to 96 residents in a modern, welcoming environment. Our community is active and engaged, with physio-led fitness classes, walking groups, and many programs to keep residents socially and physically active.
The on-site café, open to residents and the public, serves delicious barista-made coffee and a variety of treats. With a toybox and children’s books, it’s a hit with visiting grandkids too!
Co-located with a vibrant retirement village, Star of the Sea offers ‘ageing in place,’ allowing village residents to transition smoothly into aged care when needed. Our team supports every step, enhancing wellbeing and independence.
VMCH welcomes and encourages families to consider a respite stay.
VMCH staff are expertly trained to support individuals as they move in and recognise that a move into residential aged care can trigger a sense of worry or grief. For some residents, being introduced to like-minded residents can help. For others, having some alone time and privacy can help them adjust to the changes happening in their lives.
VMCH staff understand how important it is to be aware of what each new resident may need in terms of social connection or space, and that needs can change over time.
