Elderly Chinese Home is operated by Elderly Chinese Home Inc, a non-profit organisation, started in 1986 and continues to be fully accredited by the Australian Aged Care Quality Agency in the provision of holistic care to 47 residents in total.
Elderly Chinese Home
Our aim - a happy, safe environment where everyone’s individuality needs is recognised and respected.
Elderly Chinese Home is a 47 bedded facility with the following features:
• Single Rooms with en-suite and some with shared en-suite
• 24 hours nursing care
• Staff administer oral medications via Doseaid - Medisachet
• All staff and volunteers have police checks and are multi-lingual speaking – English, Cantonese, Mandarin, Teochew, Hokkien, Bahasa Malaysian, Indonesian, etc. Staff who speaks and understand at least one Chinese dialect
• Our experienced chefs prepare and cook all Chinese meals daily on the premise to meet the palate of the residents and their dietary requirement.
• Cultural specific lifestyle activities including outings, birthday celebrations, Chinese festivities, craftwork, exercises, games e.g. Mahjong, bingo etc.
• Residents’ meetings held 2 monthly to discuss and raise issues or concerns.
• Laundry services provided.
• Cleaning of rooms by contracted cleaners
• Regular visiting doctors
• Podiatry
• Dietician as required
• Speech Pathology / Physiotherapist as required
• General Practitioner visit fortnightly or more if required. There is locum services as when needed.
• Other Allied Health Services such as Domiciliary Dental Services, eye examination, hearing assessments etc.
• No set Visiting times
• Safe and secured environment
• Residents can apply for private telephone and have their own TV within their rooms.
• All electrical items will require to be tested to ensure fire safety are maintained.
• Some personal furnishing can be used following discussions with ECH management.
• Safe fire safety features
• Internal garden courtyard for residents to rest and enjoy a secured outdoor enjoyment.

Rooms and pricing
