The Willows has plenty of bright, sunny living areas where residents can relax and taking in the days goings on.
All rooms are single and well-appointed with en suite bathrooms, flat screen TVs with Foxtel, built in wardrobes with a lockable cupboard, ceiling fans, Wi-Fi and hydronic heating. Residents are encouraged to add personal touches with mementos, photos or furnishings. The Willows also has a resident laundry, for those who wish to maintain their own independence.
Multi-skilled staff (housemates), work with the same group of residents, all the time, enabling them to spend more meaningful time within their household, creating better continuity of care and building on already established relationships. This small-house model enables residents to remain as independent as possible and to direct their day, from the time they rise, to when and what they eat for breakfast, to when they shower, to what activities they wish to attend, and more. Where possible agency staff are not used.
Our specialist dementia support neighbourhood features 15-rooms, inviting gardens, a gazebo for outdoor dining and activities tailored to resident interests and abilities.
There is a 7-days per week resident designed lifestyle program that is varied and includes exercise programs, special themed events, Happy Hours, coffee mornings, weekly outings and special interest groups such as theatre, gardening and cooking. Our Planting with a Purpose gardening program is very popular and sees residents working with the Chefs and gardening team to grow produce for the kitchens.
Physiotherapy and podiatry are available on-site and visiting professional services include dentists, dietitians, hairdressers, beauticians, a choice of doctors and ministers of religion. There is also a dedicated smoking area for residents.
The home is Rainbow Tick accredited and resident pets are welcome.
