It also has a hairdressing salon, wellness centre / gym, and day spa, and resident laundry, along with a busy roster of activities including a weekly happy hour. All rooms are single and well-appointed with an en suite bathroom, flat screen TV with Foxtel, built in wardrobes with lockable cupboard, ceiling fan or individually controlled air-conditioning, Wi-Fi and hydronic heating. Residents are encouraged to add personal touches with mementos, photos or furnishings.
Multi-skilled staff (housemates), work with the same group of residents, all the time, enabling them to spend more meaningful time within their household, creating better continuity of care and building on already established relationships. Lifeview does not employ casual or agency staff. The home has a focus on maintaining resident independence, wellness and choice.
There is a 7-day per week lifestyle program that is varied and includes exercise programs, resident driven activities, special themed events, Happy Hours, weekly outings and special interest groups such as the Men’s Shed, Planting with a Purpose (growing produce for the kitchen) and Cooking.
