VMCH St Bernadette's also offers the Specialist Dementia Care Program (SDCP) within its specialist Memory Support Unit (MSU) - Lady Lourdes House. Lady Lourdes House is purpose-built to meet the needs of people with severe symptoms of dementia. Large private rooms with ensuites, access to beautiful shared spaces and abundant natural light were designed to inspire a sense of safety, security, independence and calm.
VMCH St Bernadette's is lucky enough to have the support of great volunteers and local community groups; meaning activities are interesting, fun, and different!
VMCH St Bernadette's welcomes people from all faiths and backgrounds but for residents who like to remain close to their spirituality, VMCH St Bernadette's offers religious and pastoral care services.

VMCH staff are expertly trained to support individuals as they move in and recognise that a move into residential aged care can trigger a sense of worry or grief. For some residents, being introduced to like-minded residents can help. For others, having some alone time and privacy can help them adjust to the changes happening in their lives.
