Karinya is a 36 bed aged care facility which offers permanent residential care accommodation. Our skilled and compassionate care teams provide assistance for every individual for day-to-day living activities and requirements.
Karinya Hostel
All rooms within our facility are single rooms with private ensuites.
The facility is attended by care staff 24 hours per day to ensure quality medical care. Staff assistance is available through the use of the emergency call bells in the bedroom and bathroom of each suite and also throughout the facility.
We are committed to developing new programs and offering innovative therapies and activities that meet the changing needs of our ageing population and improve and enhance our residents’ quality of life and care.

- Music Therapy
- Exercises
- Craft activities
- Visiting performers
- Social activities eg. happy hour
- Bus trips
- Carpet bowls
- Bingo

- Mens’ Group
- In-house library together with fortnightly visits from staff from town library
- Poetry/reading activities
- High tea
- Movie screenings
- Various celebrations and ‘theme days’ such as St. Patrick's and Melbourne Cup are organised throughout the year

Rooms and pricing
Residential accommodation create their fees based on a RAD (Refundable Accommodation Deposit) and a daily rate. Many facilities will negotiate these fees. Use the calculator below to see how a lower RAD can be offset by a highly daily rate
