Vivian Bullwinkel Lodge opened in late 2007 and is a 79 bed Residential Care Centre located in the northern suburb of Merriwa in the heart of the RAAFA retirement village.

The lodge offers permanent and respite care and whilst we are proud of our heritage, you do not need to be ex-service to live at RAAFA.
The centre has varying sized single bedrooms with ensuites over two levels and those on level one have access to private or shared balconies, many with uninterrupted views of the surrounding suburbs and picturesque parklands.
Many rooms have direct access to courtyards that have an abundance of sunlight and beautifully manicured gardens with places to relax and enjoy the fresh air. There are many lounge areas with kitchenette facilities where residents can attend activities or enjoy time relaxing with family and friends.
The centre has a comprehensive activities program which includes exercise groups, physio, Tai Chi, quizzes, craft activities and regular bus trips. Meals are cooked fresh on site with a variety of summer and winter menu choices available.

Rooms and pricing
Residential accommodation create their fees based on a RAD (Refundable Accommodation Deposit) and a daily rate. Many facilities will negotiate these fees. Use the calculator below to see how a lower RAD can be offset by a highly daily rate
